  The performance and relabilty of roling bearings are greaty affected by the materials which the bearing components are made from TANN bearing rings and balls are made of high qualty of Gcr15 (100cr6) - type of bearing steel and the chemical composim is shown as below.

  Most of ball bearing cages are made of cold rolled steel sheet. And for some bearing types and special applications, cages armade of glass fiber reinforced nylon 66 plastic, phenolic or machined brass.
  The material of bearing housings is gray or ductile cast iron, housings can also be made of pressed steel, stainless steel, or engineering plastic for special purposes, deepding on application and or customer's requirment.
